Chapter 13: Tanchun Takes Charge
第十三章：探春理家
When Sister Feng fell ill and could no longer manage the household, the family needed someone to take her place. Grandmother Jia chose Tanchun, one of Baoyu's half-sisters. Tanchun was young but had a clear mind and a strong sense of justice. Everyone was curious to see how she would handle the responsibility.
凤姐生病后无法再管理家务，家族需要有人接替她的工作。贾母选择了宝玉的妹妹探春。探春虽然年轻，但头脑清晰，有强烈的正义感。每个人都好奇她将如何承担这份责任。
Tanchun began her work with energy and determination. She reviewed the household accounts and found many problems. Some servants were wasting money, while others were taking more than they deserved. She made a list of new rules and announced them to the entire household.

Even Sister Feng, when she heard about the changes, admitted that Tanchun was doing an excellent job. "She has a talent for management," Sister Feng said. "Perhaps even better than mine."

But Tanchun knew that her power was limited. She was only a young woman in a family controlled by men. No matter how well she managed the household, her future would be decided by others. She could only do her best in the time she had.
