Capítulo 20: O Lugar ao Qual Pertencemos
When we arrived in the city, I stood on the balcony, looking at the distant sky.
Quando chegámos à cidade, fiquei na varanda, a olhar para o céu distante.
I remembered my hometown, remembered the old house, remembered Run Tu. Those scenes played in my mind like a movie.
Lembrei-me da minha terra natal, lembrei-me da casa velha, lembrei-me de Run Tu. Essas cenas passaram na minha mente como um filme.
But I knew I couldn't go back. My hometown has changed, and I have changed. Everyone is walking their own path, everyone has their own place where they belong.

Perhaps, my hometown is not my place to belong, and the city is not my place to belong either. Where is my place to belong?
Talvez, a minha terra natal não seja o lugar ao qual pertenço, e a cidade também não seja o lugar ao qual pertenço. Onde é o lugar ao qual pertenço?
Perhaps, my place to belong is in my heart. No matter where I go, my hometown will be in my heart, Run Tu will be in my heart, those villagers will be in my heart.
Talvez, o lugar ao qual pertenço esteja no meu coração. Não importa para onde eu vá, a minha terra natal estará no meu coração, Run Tu estará no meu coração, esses aldeões estarão no meu coração.
As long as I don't forget them, as long as I don't forget my roots, I will always have a place to belong.
Desde que não me esqueça deles, desde que não me esqueça das minhas raízes, terei sempre um lugar ao qual pertencer.
It was late at night. I returned to my room, turned on the light, and prepared to write my story.
Era tarde na noite. Regressei ao meu quarto, acendi a luz e preparei-me para escrever a minha história.
I want to write about my hometown, write about those ordinary people, write about those extraordinary stories.
Quero escrever sobre a minha terra natal, escrever sobre essas pessoas comuns, escrever sobre essas histórias extraordinárias.
Because these stories are worth remembering.
