Capítulo 19: Nova Esperança
On the way to the city, Mother asked me, "What do you want to do in the future?"
A caminho da cidade, a mãe perguntou-me: "O que queres fazer no futuro?"
I thought for a moment and said, "I want to write something, record the stories of my hometown, record the lives of the villagers."
Pensei por um momento e disse: "Quero escrever algo, registar as histórias da minha terra natal, registar as vidas dos aldeões."
Mother said, "Good, I will definitely read the articles you write."
A mãe disse: "Bom, lerei certamente os artigos que escreveres."
I smiled and said, "Okay."
Sorri e disse: "Está bem."
Yes, I want to write. I want to write the stories of my hometown, write the story of Run Tu, write the stories of those farmers. I want to let more people know that there are still many people in this society living very difficult lives, that there are still many unfair places in this society.
Sim, quero escrever. Quero escrever as histórias da minha terra natal, escrever a história de Run Tu, escrever as histórias desses agricultores. Quero que mais pessoas saibam que ainda há muitas pessoas nesta sociedade a viver vidas muito difíceis, que ainda há muitos lugares injustos nesta sociedade.
Perhaps, my articles cannot change anything, but at least, I can record these stories and let more people know.
Talvez, os meus artigos não possam mudar nada, mas pelo menos, posso registar estas histórias e deixar que mais pessoas saibam.
This is my new hope.
