Hometown - Bab 19
On the way to the city, Mother asked me, "What do you want to do in the future?"

I thought for a moment and said, "I want to write something, record the stories of my hometown, record the lives of the villagers."
Dalam perjalanan ke kota, Ibu bertanya kepada saya, "Apa yang ingin kamu lakukan di masa depan?"
Mother said, "Good, I will definitely read the articles you write."
Saya berpikir sejenak dan berkata, "Saya ingin menulis sesuatu, merekam kisah-kisah kampung halaman saya, merekam kehidupan penduduk desa."
I smiled and said, "Okay."
Ibu berkata, "Bagus, Ibu pasti akan membaca artikel yang kamu tulis."
Yes, I want to write. I want to write the stories of my hometown, write the story of Run Tu, write the stories of those farmers. I want to let more people know that there are still many people in this society living very difficult lives, that there are still many unfair places in this society.
Saya tersenyum dan berkata, "Oke."
Perhaps, my articles cannot change anything, but at least, I can record these stories and let more people know.
Ya, saya ingin menulis. Saya ingin menulis kisah-kisah kampung halaman saya, menulis kisah Run Tu, menulis kisah-kisah petani itu. Saya ingin memberi tahu lebih banyak orang bahwa masih banyak orang di masyarakat ini yang hidup sangat sulit, bahwa masih banyak tempat yang tidak adil di masyarakat ini.
This is my new hope.
Mungkin, artikel saya tidak bisa mengubah apa pun, tetapi setidaknya, saya bisa merekam kisah-kisah ini dan membiarkan lebih banyak orang mengetahuinya.
Ini adalah harapan baru saya.
